Holidays!

Boy I love holidays! Who doesn't? The thought of me going somewhere and flying on a plane somewhere just gets me sooooo excited beyond belief! I start imagining all the places I'll go, what I'll eat, the people I'll see, the culture I'll soak in... it's just so exciting!
I'm not actually a very travelled person. The only places I've been to are Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, Melbourne and Sydney. Yup~ that's about the extent of my travels so far. Quite sad right? I'd love to explore the world... but with that comes financial ties...
Anyway I always love going back "home" to Malaysia. =) I love seeing all my relatives... and at the end of this year, my cousin is getting married on my birthday!!! As if having my birthday near Christmas, getting "2-in-1" presents and having friends go away and not being able to celebrate my birthday with me was bad enough - my cousin decides she wants to have her wedding on my birthday. Fair enough... it's cool =P I just won't say anything... I wonder if anyone will remember my birthday? Actually, I also share my birthday with one of my uncles. hehe... I only found out 2 years ago... and he's so nice he even gave me $200.
So my cousin getting married means... another family holiday!!!!!!!!! Weeee... I love family holidays!!! Actually my parents told us that back in 2005/6 would be our last family holiday forever, it was sad hearing that at the time... but hehe, it doesn't seem like it's going to be the last one! I can't wait to see all my cousins, and all my baby cousins all grown up!
I love my cousins to death... all 30-odd of them - I lost count. Especially the ones that take me out... hehe...!!! Nahh I love them all. It's funny because I know that there is tension in the family (as with most families) but somehow and for some reason, when the "Aussies" come to visit Malaysia, everyone is united again and puts on a happy face just for our sake. Such influence we have.
What do I love most about Malaysia? I guess the stinky smell kinda rocks my world a bit. hehe ... brings back memories of stinky Malaysia. Actually one of my most favourite things is hearing the "buzz" of traffic early in the morning outside the window. Such a nice sound. Last time, we stayed in Subang... and it was cool, because there's food stalls just down the street. Another great thing about Malaysia is the night life... sooooo much cooler and better than Perth with places to eat out on the street. Though... I wouldn't say the shopping is that great because I guess, I'm not so accustomed to the fashion they have in Malaysia. But it's nice just to enter the shopping complexes and go a bit crazy.
One thing I do not like about Malaysia is the stinky public toilets that ALWAYS have wet floors... and ewww... just so disgusting to the max. I always have to roll up my jeans when going to public toilets. And it's a bad thing too, because I have a bad bladder and tend to need to go to the toilet quite often. hehe... yeah anyway enough of my toilet humour.
I just can't wait to go back and see everyone. =)
This picture is taken back in December 2005 when we went to Port Dickson. We stayed at a resort hotel there which was right on the beach front. Brings back memories of me and Eric being stuck in the elevator and then having to crawl out of the elevator which was actually stuck between two floors!!! We rang the emergency button so many times but the button didn't even work!!!
