Wishlist

Since I'm going back to Malaysia, I've already planned my shopping list.

There are some certain things that I must get!

1. Laptop - I'm sick of sharing and being the last to have priority... even though all I do is play on the computer. So a nice laptop would be cool... green would be nice, but I don't think that's happening.
2. White Lacoste sneakers!!! - I've been dreaming about them for a while now - must be green! I don't care if I have to buy guy's shoes... (but they better have my size!)
3. Samsung D900i - As much as I love my baby Samsung now, I think it's time for an upgrade. This is probably the one I like the most so far, not any really nice phones out there on the market that strikes my fancy I'm too in love with Samsung to go with any other brand.

4. Prescription sunglasses! I've always dreamt of being able to wear sunnies without those nasty clip on's! So I should get some prescription sunnies... and no I don't really want to get contacts =) I want big big sunnies... to match the ever increasing width of my face - maybe not like the ones below... maybe something a little more conservative.

5. Wallet
6. Hair cut
7. Facial
8. Clothes~
9. More shoes
10. More clothes
11. Perfume - if I can find something I'm fond of =)
That's all the things I can think of at the moment.

Photo 5

My box finally came some time last week for the Canon Photo5 competition and the box is sooo cute to the max please!!! All recycled and so cute!
Anyway, the Canon Photo5 competition is only open to 2500 applicants in Australia but simply registering and then you'll get your special pack in the mail.

Basically there are 4 items in the box.

A red balloon.

Yellow dot stickers.

1 piece of pink chalk.

1 sheet of blue cellophane.

The aim of the competition is to creatively photograph these "elements."

I've been thinking my brains out how to creatively photograph these boring things and turn them into something fun... but I can't think of anything! I don't even think I have the time to go creatively take the photos anyway, but it was cool to recieve the box in the mail!

Winner gets a 40D and some other cool camera gear.

In other photography news, I got an email in my flickr account last week saying this:

You've been sent a Flickr Mail from Emma J. Williams

For your information this is the picture that has been short listed. It's a photo that I took in November 2006 at Smith's Beach Yallingyup on our road trip - mind you, it was taken with my Olympus u-mini - which was quite the top of its range when it came out at the time back in 2004.

I have never even taken photography seriously at all. Even a DSLR I don't even know how to use, even going to scientific photography 101, I can't remember anything that I've learnt. I guess it's all a trial and error... I just need more practice and the time to go shooting.

For your information, my flickr website can be found @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/winterlove/

... though I haven't updated it for a while since... no geng photos to update. haha! But it's a great way for budding photographers to showcase their talents and then unknowingly be discovered... maybe! =)

Can't sleep!

Status: Can't sleep!

Even though I was really tired today... after leaving the house at 8am and returning at 9pm... I showered and went straight to bed, but the whole time I couldn't sleep! It's not like there's much that's running through my head, but I just couldn't sleep! =(

Anyway I like this song muchly!

One Thing (Hillsong United)

One thing
One thing I desire
One thing I seek
To gaze upon Your beauty
Your majesty

In the day of trouble
You cover me
In the secret place of refuge
Lord I will sing
So I pray to You
So I pray to You

Lord Your Name is higher than the heavens
Lord Your Name is higher than all created things
Higher than hope
Higher than dreams
The Name of the Lord

I will seek Your face
Call upon Your name Jesus
All I want is You Jesus

Cravings Part 2

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Due to my cravings for these strawberry jam donuts, I went to the local shops and bought a six pack for $8.00!!! What a rip off... but what can you do when you crave them? Then mum came home today with two six packs for $2.50.... wahh.... feel jipped to the max!

Monday I had none.
Tuesday I had two.
Wednesday I had none.
Thursday I had none.
Friday I had three.

But now, I'm almost officially over strawberry jam donuts. =) I think I've had enough for one year. That's the strongest craving for food I've ever had. Can't imagine what I would be like when I have pregnancy cravings... haha! Pity the poor soul that has to go find the food I crave. *lol*

Onto better news, I finally got my tax done today. Complicated story about the medicare tax levy... I wasn't supposed to answer the question I did in the e-tax. Alright... anyway, costed me $77.00 just for his 15 minutes tapping away at the computer screen. Well I'm happy that I'll get my cheque pretty soon and it was more than what I was expecting so I'm happy about that too!

Anyway it's past 4am. I don't know what I'm still doing up. It's been a very long day... and well... I can't say that I'm feeling very super tired. Though I do need to go present hunting tomorrow morning! Some more, I lose one hour of sleep tonight due to day lights savings. The glory of DLS!

Cravings...

Have you been infected with
"to the max please?"

I'm sorry I say it so much.

1 week of craving...

1 minute (or less than that) or scrumptious pleasure.

I'm talking about my favourite strawberry jam donuts! I've been craving them for so long and today I just couldn't stand it any more. Drove to Carousel after work and bought myself one from Donut King...*hmph* I'm not satisfied. I asked him if they had the 6 pack but they didn't, well they could have made me one but it would have been too expensive and my face wouldn't be too happy about all the strawberry jam donuts! *kaboom*

I'll go on the hunt for more strawberry jam donuts tomorrow. Maybe Angazi has some?

Summer time

One thing that get's me jittery in Spring is ... the INCOMNG SUMMER TIME!

I love love love summer in Australia to the max please!!! I get so excited at the mention of anything related to summer - even the thought of flies!

Though, this summer I won't be spending it in Australia... I'll be sweating it out in Malaysia which will be cool too... in the air conned rooms and cars of Malaysia *shiver*

Today it was mentioned in church that this coming Saturday 27th of October, DAY LIGHT SAVINGS is coming back!!! I think I must be the only one that is SO PRO Day Light Savings!!! I really really like it, makes you feel you got more time in a day! So this Saturday, remember to forward your clocks one hour ahead at 12am. - otherwise you'll be late for church!

Summer time... I think about beach, sun and havianas!!! Thongs and shorts... sunnies (even though I can't wear them - but hopefully I can get a pair when I go back to Malaysia) - what else? Just lounging around...

Australia Day is just the best. Last year... haha 45 degree heat... walking along South Perth Foreshore... wow* ... even though it was super hot and we were all super dehydrated, I still remember it was fun =)

Taxes

These is one thing thats inevitable in this world... (except for maybe in Dubai) ... and that's TAXES! It's almost October 31 and I still haven't done my taxes!!! I'm so upset because I don't know how to do it for the life of me!

I don't know how and why everyone is able to do it online by themselves, but I just can't do it! I've been trying ... but then arh I give up! I'm just going to take it to an accountant and do it!

It should actually be rather straight forward right, you would think? I don't have any dependent children, or baby bonus claims or this, that and the other, but I still can't do it!

Actually, it's the medicare levy part that's stuffing me up! grrr... I'm supposed to pay $300 in medicare levy and the program won't let me after I answered some of thier questions. it said I don't have to pay - but last year I paid!!! =(

Anyway... look forward to the cheque in two weeks then =)
I'll be glad once my tax is done and over with!

Maximum Impact (to the max please!)

Last week I went to the Maximum Impact Leadership Seminar hosted by some of the world's top leadership experts in the business with John C. Maxwell, Mark Sanborn, Tim Sanders and many more great speakers.

Anyway I thought the seminar was really good. I just came out of the hall feeling so pumped up like I can take over the world. And somewhere during the seminar it got me thinking about starting my own business and how I would run it. I've worked for a fair few companies and organisations and I can easily say there is always space for improvement. I've seen how so many organisations run so badly that it makes me think how much better I could run my own company one day.

So just imagine that I have my own company and it's called ω ε ί ω е ι ™. (which is what it would most likely be called.) ω ε ί ω е ι ™ is either going to be an events company, or a fashion company or a wedding planning company or in the business of manufacturing hope! (One of the ideas given by one of the speakers at Maximum Impact)

Anyway in the office of ω ε ί ω е ι ™, everything will be bright and colourful - just like the google office. We would have non stop stock flow of RED SKINS! (woo!) to keep us on a high everyday. I will buy fresh flowers to fill the office everyday as people are a function of their environment. If the environment you work in is dull and boring - that's how you're going to feel everyday!

If you work at ω ε ί ω е ι ™, there will be happy 10 minutes everyday where you go and find someone to talk to whom you normally don't talk to and compliment them on something! Taking the initiative to make someone happy is really important and we all need to feel a sense of self worth in life.

One of the speakers Tim Sanders spoke about Good Business Resolutions and lifting the mood state. When you lift the mood state and are in a positive mood state, you're more productive and engaged and creates room in your mind for discovery and innovation.

The best thing about working with ω ε ί ω е ι ™ is that you don't have to wear office wear!!! And you don't have to wear black pants!!! woo... I don't like to wear black pants. We can wear whatever we feel comfortable in as long as we look good and represent the image of ω ε ί ω е ι ™.

All my execs will have cool cars... perhaps the VW beetle or the mini cooper? I'm not sure... but some funky car! We'll also have company mobile phones by Samsung my favourite and GREEN laptops.. or whatever colour laptop you want!

Don't you want to work with ω ε ί ω е ι ™? Applications are now open for sponsorship!

Dare to dream big, you never know how big your potential is and what you're capable of.
Take the plunge for what you believe in, you can't be challenged unless you come out of your comfort zone.

Title the deed to your dreams!

So blessed I can't contain it!

As some of you may know, after MCW is over... it's back to reality and the reality of getting a job. For the past week I've been working at Synovate pretty much "full time" as I don't know what I should do since I'm in a bit of a pickle because I'm going back to Malaysia on 28th November. So I don't really want to look for a proper full time job until after...

So anyway, the work at Synovate is a bit tedious and boring. Only 2 days ago, I started applying for some other positions in events and today I got a call from Betty Tan from the International Office at Curtin Uni! She was telling me about the job she had for me... and then she asked me if I could come in for an interview... so I did, and I even saw Lynn there. Then I sat down with Betty and had a chat with her and everything... and wow... all well and done - I got the job! She just has to sort out some paper work first... and I'm set. So it's going to be temporary full time for a few months I guess. I think I'm filling in for another person? But yay! That also means I get to catch up with people and have lunch! =)

So I really really Praise God for blessing me so abundantly. I didn't even have to ask for it and He knows my hearts desire. I just truly feel so blessed.

This year has been a total blessing in itself...

Firstly with the new friends I've made all over the place in uni, church and work... I just feel so blessed to be surrounded by people I love. People who love Christ and people who love the same things I love, people who have the same dreams and goals I have...people who are just as dungu as I am =)

Secondly, I've been blessed with the chance to be able to travel to Melbourne and Sydney with friends, and also at the end of the year - going back to Malaysia for another holiday. Two holidays in a year is a blessing already!

Thirdly, I've been blessed with the job at Synovate earlier this year after really asking God to relieve me from my work at the petrol station, and now a new job... two jobs in one year is also a blessing!

Fourth, I've been blessed... with my new Canon 350D! ... been waiting so many years for that and finally I can play and bring all glory back to Him!

I'm so happy and feel so blessed I just can't contain it! He is always so faithful. Thank you!

=)

Short updates:

Pasar Malam was a success last night. Even though there were a few hitches in the beginning, everything went rather smoothly and we finished the cleaning up relatively early. Security estimated around 15000 people showed up! woot~ Waited sooo long just to eat mediocre sa-TAY! Didn't really have the chance to try out other foods. Bumped into lots and lots of people from church, UWA, ECU, Murdoch and even high school... wow! Though, next year, I think I'll go as a guest and see how the turn out is ^_^and just enjoy the night without the stresses.

Then one of my friend came up to me and said, "Hey Sue-Anne, I'm going back to Malaysia for good.... I'll see ya around."

Wow... made me so sad... even though I'm not close with him, but made me realise all the friends I've made this year are lots of international students and most would go back once they graduate from uni - which is most of them next year! It's so sad. The people I've grown close are moving away and going to leave me by my lonesome. =(

Then I thought, wow, MCW is actually the last student/uni related project I'm going to be working on. No more uni life/student life/ lazing around... it's time to get a real job. Makes me sad to think and realise that this is sort of the end of an "era" and the beginning of a new phase in my life I guess.

I really enjoyed every bit of my last semester at uni and getting involved in voluntary work and student associations and all that, and I would encourage everyone to join if they can (especially the Canning kids when you get into first year uni), because it's a great way to meet people and make friends, and also a chance for you to contribute something and learn things and experience things. I've learnt a lot from working in MCW. The best and worst experiences all collate into one huge learning curve and has been one of the most interesting things I've ever done. I don't regret doing it... all the sweat and tears shed for it, was it worth it? Well... I'm pretty happy about it.
