Broken phone =(
Back in Malaysia I had problems with my Samsung. The back light of the phone just won't switch off even though I have the clam shell closed.. and even when I turn the phone off the back light is still on sometimes. So that means whenever I leave the phone on for 6 hours+ the battery will just die. Sorry to those who tried to call or message me and I haven't got back to you.

I thought it might be because the power watts in Malaysia is much stronger than in Perth and that my baby Samsung just couldn't take it... but after three days in Perth, the problem persists... which means... it's finally time to get a new phone after 4 happy years with my Samsung. =( I mean, I don't actually mind continuing to use my Samsung... I'm actually quite happy being on turbocharge prepaid.
THE DILEMMA:

I like Samsung ... correction, I LOVE Samsung, and the only one on the market that I like is the D900i which is available (last I heard) on the Optus $49 cap. I'm not sure if it's still available though. Problem is that most people are already using Three phones and thus, it would be more feasible if I bought a three phone correct?

Problem is all the phones from three are either Sony Ericsson or they're gay! I personally don't like Sony Ericsson - it's just too complicated to use and too common amongst people our age. However, if I did have to choose, I'd choose the Sony Ericsson K770i. Problem is that phone is on the $49 cap and I hardly think that I would make up to $300 worth of calls a month, so it would be such a waste of money. I think going on the $29 cap would be sufficient for me. The one phone that I like on the $29 cap is the Nokia E65 which is already a pretty old phone... and problem is, I've heard there's lots of problems with that model!

Why can't they just have a Samsung D900i on the $29 cap on Three for me? I would be so happy if they did!
Plus, I need a new phone fast because I just applied for A LOT of jobs over the weekend and I suppose employers would want to try to contact me (I hope)! And if they can't get in touch with me because my phone is stuffed up and switched off... then I lose the opportunity of finding a job! =(
Anyone has a spare phone I can use in the meantime?
