I'm definitely happy to be going back home to my bed and just home! Nothing beats the feeling of going home! But I'm also going to be sad leaving Malaysia as well. I mean, my whole extended family is here... and even though initially when I got here (and in Kuching) I was sick for almost 2 weeks with headaches, diarrhea and stomach aches, even though there was so much family politics to deal with (which I didn't really deal with but was more like caught in the firing line of gossip), even though I've had some pretty restless nights unable to sleep, even though my face became as dry as a bone, even though my body has had to cope with eating extra oily foods ... above all that... I think I've found a new sense of independance and a new sense of personal motivation to go out and do things. I hope I'm not just saying this, and then when I get back to Perth I'm going to be a lazy bum again... but I hope this is the beginning of new and good things to come.

I've had a lot of fun moments in Malaysia which began in Kuching, Sarawak. I was finally able to visit the home town of Pauline, Usha, Andrea, Kiew and many other Kuching-ers to see what all the fuss was about this little town. Actually, there is not really anything to fuss about Kuching, it's smaller than Perth! But it was nice to see the East side of Malaysia - definetly a lot cleaner than the West side. I have to give them brownie points for that. It was also nice to meet Merlvyn Kho for the first time =)

Then later we also went to Melacca. I only found out today that somehow half my Melacca photos got deleted... and the majority were the good ones... garh!!!! P dot O to the maximum! I've seen many nice pictures of Melacca taken by Adam... and the ads to go to Melacca are always on satellite TV. When we finally got to the place, I didn't imagine it to be so small! But it was nice to finally go there, and to be able to say that I went there at least! Oh and looking at Merlvyn's photos, I realised that I missed the old run down white building which was only near by those red buildings =(

We also went to Ipoh which was nothing much also... but also nice to say that I've now been to Ipoh. We stayed in the city area (I think) and my parents spent hours in the Chinese grocery store buying biscuits and all the food stuff they like to buy. We also visited the haunted house - Kellie's Castle... but we didn't happen to see anything out of the ordinary.

Went to Cameron Highlands which was fun strawberry picking amongst other things. It was a headache getting to the top because my cousin is such a rampant driver, but it was a nice place to relax at the tea plantation and the view of the little town was pretty awesome.

Also went to Penang which was a lot of fun - doing water sports of all kinds that I would never ever in my wildest dreams have imagined that I would have even dared to do! Parasailing was a lot of fun as was the jet ski =) Our hotel was dandy over looking Gurney Drive - and the food, well to say the least we had char keuh teow and asam laksa for every meal we were there and then suffered the consequences five days straight afterwards - if you know what I mean! Penang was probably the most memorable and the most fun of all during my stay here.

Sawateeka! Went to Hat Yai, Thailand which was an interesting experience. One thought of the motorbike incident will send me smiling into the clouds. It was nice to experience a different culture and I love Thai food even more now! Things are so cheap cheap cheap there!

It's been a pretty awesome holiday with much travelling and much eating and living the good life too good. So it's almost time to ground myself back to reality and get out of holiday mode and think about getting a job. Spend less money and earn more money - so my mother would say! Good bye Malaysia... it'll be quite some time before I decide to return.

and... hello Perth! I have to join the gym once I'm back... I haven't even dared to weigh myself for some weeks now. I don't really want to know actually how much weight I've put on. But above all, this year, I just want to lose a little bit of weight... maybe like 5 or 6kg and just get fit! I'm also going to go on detox for 5 days when I'm back. If Kenny Sia can do it... so can weiwei! In fact, I'm going to go buy some Trudetox on Monday and hopefully if I'm lucky, I'll drop 4kg like Mr Sia! haha, I wish!
