12km Journey from Mill Point to UWA

You won't actually realise how precious public holidays are until you're working! I'm so glad I didn't have to work yesterday - T'was Foudation Day - I have no idea what Foundation Day is, but anyway it's nice to have the day off. I think we should have three day weekends! One day for church, one day to stay home and one day to go out! *perfect*

So anyway... since I'd already stayed home the whole of Saturday (watching Full House) and since I went to church on Sunday... Monday means I should go out too. So we (me, Ah Paw, Ah Su and Yuki) planned to go for a walk at Mill Point 9am Monday morning. It was hard to get up, but I knew traffic would be a breeze. It always is on public holidays. So we all met at Mill Point. We started off walking in the direction of Narrows Bridge. I think the initial plan was just to walk up and down the length of Mill Point. Some how, making it to Narrows Bridge became our goal and we would see what we'd do once we got there.

Next thing we know we're crossing the Narrows Bridge to the other side of the river. It was pretty cool, never in my whole life had I walked on the Narrows Bridge. Then conversation came up... "LET'S WALK TO UWA!" zomg... what we're we thinking!!! So UWA became our next goal. Believe it or not, we actually made it to UWA! We actually walked all the way from Mill Point to UWA and back again in 3 and a half hours whilst stopping and taking pictures on the way of course and dodging cyclists.

We were so dehydrated once we got to UWA since none of us bought money or water since we never expected to walk so far in the first place. We all started craving coke once the dehydrated feeling set in. Contemplation of calling Josh Lim to bring us for drinks... contemplation of finding coins on the floor so we could bus it back to Mill Point. Nahh... we just walked all the way back! POWAH!

Walked all the way there and back admist much humerous conversations *HELLO* (says Ps. Alejandro) We talked about a lot of things on the 12km journey!

So thirsty and hungry afterwards so me, Ah Paw and Ah Su went to Maccas of all places. Our 3 hour work out eventuated at Maccas... and was made null in 10 minutes of stuffing ourselves with McChicken, Big Mac and Quarter Pounder burgers, chips and coke! Sian...

Some more, we ended up sitting there for another 3 and a half hours just chatting. I have to say though it's one of the best chats I've had with girls. You really have to appreciate "girl time" and "girl talk." It was just nice to catch up with those two girls, even though we see each other twice a week... we never have deep conversations about things and since we had the time - we had our catch up girl talk! We talked about everything from our families, what it would be like to raise children and be mothers, marriage, our wedding rings (big, bling, shiny and white gold thank you!), our perfect type of guy, friends, couples... just lots of random things. It was just really dandy to spend time with the girls today chatting and laughing and saying *HELLO* in a certain tone. Such a good laugh!

...and well, that concludes the last public holiday I have until Christmas!!! =( So sad!
