(I didn't take any pictures of dinner at Seoul BBQ, so this picture will have to suffice. It was taken at a Korean BBQ place in Klang. Spiffy huh?)I caught up with the "Uni crew" and we went to Seoul BBQ Buffet in Vic Park. It was nice to catch up with old friends and see familiar faces again to reminisce on our road trip and the silly things we did, watching scary movies at night and good ol' Betty Slags - my favourite *real* dog that doesn't bark! Oh how I've missed everyone's "Aussie-ness." It's nice to hang around ABC's once again to get my grammar and Engrish in check! It was a nice and cosy place, which only recently opened for four months and the food was really nice.
Meng went to get the meats and basically cooked everything for us *hurrah* We had beef, pork, chicken, fish, squid, octopus and mussels. The best were these awesome little dumplings, I think I must've eaten at least 15 of them! Then there was the usual salad, "tao ge" and kim chee which was oh-so-spicy for my Aussie lips... and at the end of it all "ippai!" Cannot eat anymore. I told myself that I should stop eating when my stomach is full - but my Asian-conscience kept telling me to "Get your money's worth! Get your money's worth!" So what did I do? I stuffed myself like an Aussie pig and "got my money's worth!"
We began talking about which meat was the yummiest! Of course the beef was super nice and tender... unbeknownst to me, I'm chewing on this yummy piece of meat which I think is bacon and I said that it was pretty nice so I asked,
"What meat is that?"
"Oh that's Ox tongue! You ate Ox tongue!" haha
"What tha.... $^&_ *GASPS* I ate Ox tongue! I'm going to choke! Yuck! Bleurgh!!!! *shudder*
But well, to be honest Ox tongue is kinda nice - if you don't know what it is to begin with! So this is the culprit (see pic below)! If you think it's bacon - THINK AGAIN MY FRIEND!... Actually, don't think - JUST EAT! Looks super like bacon right? I told you!!! Anyone can be fooled by meat looking like this!!! Those tricky Korean's trying to make people think it's bacon when it's actually OX TONGUE!!!
The night ended on a high and we went home stinking like Korean BBQ - naturally. =)

Every weekend I look forward to the possibility of sleeping in, but some how, for some reason or another I "have to" wake up before 8am to do "things." So my dream of sleeping in is yet on hold for another week!
This morning I woke up early to get ready to go to Andrea and Josh's wedding. We (me and my cousin, Aletheia) were running a little late...and when we finally got to the place I thought it was the church on the corner of Queenslea Drive - but there were no familiar cars or people around. So I got Aletheia to get out of the car and peek into the church - and there was no one there! So we called Eunice and she gave us directions so I went in the direction I thought she was talking about. So we went round another entrance and found a car park, parked, got out of the car - but there was no chapel! *lost* and bewildered I called Pauline who passed the phone onto someone suspicious... the whole conversation this girl was giving me directions and I was wondering who the heck it was!
I was half listening to the instructions she was giving me and more trying to figure out who I was actually speaking to. At the end of the conversation,
"Oh by the way, who am I speaking to?"
"Frances!"
"Ohhh!!!" *totally didn't recognise your voice*!!! Sorry!!!

Anyway thanks to Frances's good directions, we got to the chapel on time. Andrea's dress was so pretty no kidding, full train, beads and so beautiful! The wedding was short and sweet - Andrea teared up during the vows. We went through the whole ceremony without a hitch. Jia Huei and Ray sang the oh so popular wedding song "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain. So over sung - but I think I'd want it at my wedding anyway! haha After that, we took many many photos - but I had a quick look at the photos in the car afterwards and I was so not happy with the photos and how they turned out! =( Just because you have a pro camera doesn't mean you'll have pro pictures because pro pictures can only come out of a pro camera if the person holding the camera is PRO! I was also thinking afterwards, they didn't have the part during the wedding where the celebant asks "speak now or forever hold your peace" if anyone objects to the marriage of the two...maybe new-age people don't do that anymore?

After that, we went to Hungry Jacks for lunch - haha about 20 of us
so dressed up - eating in Hungry Jacks. Jia Li is so funny! She's Aletheia's cell member from China. She makes me laugh. We were talking about shopping and she was saying that last time she went shopping at HBT every week!!! Hardcore...I was shocked the max! I asked her how many clothing items she had...
"About 200?... not including sleep wear, trackies and party dresses."
...weiwei *speechless*...
Then so funny, she went on to talk about "siao" people because she was saying that "Jeremy's face sucks!" and she called him siao and said that he should go to a mental assylum. (Her English is not that good.) So anyway... then Jeremy said "some people have 100 shoes - that is siao!"
Jia Li agreed and said that people with 100 shoes are siao.
Then I asked her, "So... if you have 200 items of clothing... isn't that siao?"
and she said "No wor..." weiwei *speechless* again!

Anyway, we went shopping in HBT after that! I realised that I prefer to shop alone. I get so much shopping done and do more damage to my wallet when I shop alone. Actually I haven't counted how much I spent yet... and I don't want to... yet! So in the end, I got 6 items of clothing! huhu *YAY!*
I tried on this erm... cargo-dress? I think that's what you call them.
This is what it looks like. Anyway, I didn't plan to buy it but I just wanted to try it on. The sleeves are actually rolled up and buttoned and when I tried it on the left sleeve was ok - but the right sleeve was SO tight around my chicken arms that it felt like I was having my blood pressure taken! Seriously - it totally resetricted my blood flow for about 10 seconds before I could pull it off! Talk about fat flabby arms =(
My new spring wardrobe is semi-coming along... well not really, in the end... I got 2 collar shirts for work, a pair of black trackies for $11.95 thank you! *bargain* and a nice shape top with wierd love heart patterns (I only bought it because I like the cut) and another top and a black cardigan! =) So happy I got stuff for myself!
Then went for service at UWA... and felt so sleepy in church!
Sunday morning, I tried to sleep in... but CANNOT!!! The day that I reserve to sleep in and well... I slept in till 9am at least. Got up and read a book, showered and internetted a while before heading off to Yng Shy's 24th birthday.
Location: At her house! (It was supposed to be at South Perth Foreshore - but it was raining and too windy!) There was food galore, and as per usual I ate like a pig again! There were curry puffs to tempt... I ate 3 or 4 or... was it 5 curry puffs? bah~ XD Then we went to Hossack Park to fly kites since it was so windy and the clouds had parted! Yee Fun bought her picnic rug and we just relaxed on the rug - laid down and enjoyed the sun, skies and the wind! and cam-whored a bit as well. The self-portrait I took kinda reminds me of the
"flickr blue fur toddler."
After that, I headed to Carl's house for Moon Cake Festival and met up with part of the "ISC crew". We were supposed to celebrate in Kings Park Western Power Park - but it was still too windy and prone to rain - so we decided to have it at Carl's place which was much more cosy.
There was yet again FOOD GALORE - but I was still so full from Yng Shy's feast that I didn't really eat much! We watched two Cantonese movies which were apparently funny - but I didn't really understand even though there were subs. It was set in olden day times - and I simply cannot stand those olden day Chinese movies! Boring...
During the second one I fell asleep on the nice black leather recliner with a very warm red blankie =) When I woke up, I was offered some Moon Cake with egg inside by Carl... but by that time, my face had already turned moon-shape! Gosh! See how round it is and it's even shiny somemore! *ka-boom*

So we continued to take moon-shaped-face photos with the lantern (which is a high-tech battery operated one)! I didn't even know this kind existed till this year!...

Actually we all have pretty round faces. (Carl, Leon, Chee Sheng, Dorothy and I) - Stephanie was the only one with a football shaped face. Then Carl commented, "Wouldn't it be funny if someone had a shuttlecock-shaped face?" Hmm... that would be very super wierd! So we all ate till our hearts content - super full, round face and round belly! Then home time! And that concludes my eventful weekend and it's back to work on Monday morning!
In other news...
(Nicholas Hoh - and his favourite picture taken in Melacca)
I must wish my cousin Nicholas ALL THE BEST! May the force be with you as your adventures now begin in Leeds! Aletheia told me you were scared of crying at the airport! I hope you cried!!! I hope your two girlfriends made you cry bad at the airport!!! haha...
