fruits of labour

He said, "Ask anything in My name, and I will do it."
I asked and asked and asked - and He provided, He provided and He provided!
My God my Provider is sufficient for me!

From an event organiser's point of view, organising Passion on Ice is simple. Logistically not difficult and not many people or planning involved in the whole process. A week before the event, God was telling me to enjoy the event, enjoy the process and don't let the joy be stolen. I enjoyed the process, I enjoyed the event (didn't even do much), and it was all good in the end. I did not stress
(for once)!

After the event, God showed me something. He reminded me of the Parable of the Lost Sheep where the shepard had 100 sheep; and if one of them was lost - would not the shepard leave the 99 in the wilderness and go after the one that was lost until he found it? He reminded me that, it doesn't matter what event is held - how big or how small. If but ONE is saved, it is worth all the effort, planning and labour.

That really spoke to me, because throughout the whole event, I only went inside the venue once to talk to the DJ. The whole time I stayed out in the foyer - yet, God's work still needed to be done outside. I was actually speaking to some of the security guards who were looking after us. They were nice blokes - I invited one of them to come for Sunday service and he said he'll be there! *stoked*

Evangelism 101
Get the name of the person - FAIL I did not. (but I know his name now)
Get the contact number of the person - FAIL I didn't even think about that!
Give my name to the person - oh yes, I think I did that - big green tick.
Give my contact number to the person - FAIL didn't even think about that!

So I'm hoping that his word will be enough or at least someone got his number to follow up on him! Oops. On a never ending journey of learning.

I'll end with Psalm 103~ David's Psalm.

1 Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-
3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6 The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:
8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field;
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children-
18 with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.
20 Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.
21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.
22 Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

back!

Finally found the time to sit and relax after a long week.
Straight back to work after arriving in Perth 7pm on Tuesday night.
Thank God for the strength.
Back from Sydney and Melbourne trip.
Feels like I need another holiday!

Hillsong was indescribable - back to the basics of faith+hope+love.
Will write about the Hillsong experience (another time maybe).
Jad Gilles is hot - he's married. Darn.
faith+hope+love album is a must get.

My heart for the lost, broken and poor has just gotten a whole lot bigger.
He said, "defend for the rights of the poor and destitute."
I would love to champion the cause of the poor full time, one day.
Humanity is waiting.
Your possible can be someone's miracle.

I sponsored a child from El Salvadore.
He's so cute - his name is Jaime.
He's 10 years old and will grow up to be a super star soccer player!
He loves art and hide and seek. =)
I'm beaming with happiness. I love him already.
NO, my son does not look like Seng for those who said he does. rarh.
Will post pictures of him soon...if I can find a scanner.

Sydney was flipping cold. Ate WAY too much.
Covered Myer, David Jones and QVB in 3 hours - speed shopping with Paw.
Melbourne was pretty good too - thought slightly germ filled. =)
Paw and Ush almost got swiney winey flu.
Did much speed shopping. Ate a lot of pizza from Lygon.

On detox now. Went to the lavatory 4 times today. Wanted to puke once.
Felt sick but good to get all the junk out at the same time.
Back to work. Busy - yet not too busy.
Supervisor decided to take leave at our most busiest time - HELLO.

Thank God for the weekend.
Love my bed.
Still sleeping in the sleeping bag - on my bed.
Love my bed.

Good night.
