The ride there was pretty long, and desolate. The plains of WA are so dry and sparse, compared to the country side in Melbourne with the lush green rolling hills. Beautiful.
We saw a dead kangaroo on the way there. Chichi decided to join us on the trip which I was so ecstatic about because I hadn't seen her in 6 months - half a year! Can you believe time FLEW by just like that. (Time flying makes me emo).
Lancelin sandboarding was fun - to a point. I mean how many times can you go up and down that hill. It was extremely tiring and much more blinding than I thought it would be. TIP: Bring sunnies, the sand will blind you.
We did that for a while, and then after that we went back to the YHA lodge where we were staying. The facilities were rather clean *thumbs up* We showered and lounged by the pool, giving each other massages and joking that me, Yan Jing and Marianne can start our own massaging business because we massage HARD!!! The girls got hungry fast, so we started the BBQ at 5pm. Twas good. The girls didn't even need to lift a finger, except to get the food! The boys (I think Jack, did most of the cooking). God Bless him!
Then the girls went for a quick stroll to the beach, but didn't actually get on the beach and walked back, and chatted the night away - oggling about which famous girls are pretty, and which famous guys are hot (Mark Wahlberg! - who cares if he's old!) I still think he's hot! We played uno for a while... and by 8pm... WE WERE DEAD TIRED. But since it being a "holiday" we didn't want to waste away the holiday by sleeping. So we got into bed at 9pm and chatted the night away, until 11pm. Then sleep.
I couldn't sleep it was so hot! I was drifting in and out of sleep a lot. Thank God none of the girls snored. I can't stand noise. I also learnt some funny quirks about someone... hehe!
Funny story in the morning. The boys were telling us how they were all so scared of Gen for his notorius snoring, and they had to force themselves to sleep before Gen went to sleep. So off to sleep all the boys went and Kingdom came once Gen hit the pillow. Who knew that there was a secret dark horse who OVERCAME the snoring kingdom of Gen - and Gen the King of snorers couldn't even sleep!!!
Gosh, imagine one day if my husband snore, I will die (of no sleep!)
So anyway, morning came, we all went for a BIG ULTRA MASSIVE breakfast - which I spoke about in the post before. We took some happy snaps... and all went home. I didn't take any pics using my SLR. I think I have lost my passion for photography!!! :( But I did take some lomo shots on fish eye, which I need to finish the film so I can process!!! I hope leaving the lomo in the hot car doesn't affect the film! :S
It was a great trip - thanks to all those who organised it. I personally liked Mandurah better because of the house :) The dream lives on for me to buy a canal house in Mandurah...
