my boomz weekend
The start of this weekend has just been a really funny weekend!
Friday at work, I recieved a BOOMZ email. Totally rocked my Friday and made my day. I got an email from one of my China students. She wrote,
Good morning, i am new student of cbs in semester 1/ 2010, my name is XXXX, student number is XXXX, i have receive coe, but this coe is worng document, when i open my coe , it is a indian song, therefore, can you send new coe for me again, thank you.**COE: Confirmation of enrolment - international students need this to apply for a student visa.Wow... I can't believe Maahi ve has come to haunt me after 2 months!! So hilarious, I sent it to my colleague and she couldn't stop laughing and told the whole CBS team! Then as I continued to chuckle to myself, my other colleague walked past and saw me laughing to myself in front of the computer like a lunatic. She was like, "Uhhh Sue-Anne... what are you laughing at...?"
Then I proceeded to show her the email, and she laughed so hard. Ah, made my day!!! Funny China student, don't know what England she is talking. (By the way, I did not mysteriously send her Indian songs!!! - I believe she must have been listening to an Indian song at the time of opening my attachment!)
On Friday night went shopping with the girls in the city. 3 of the girls wanted to go for Hawkers, and the other 3 girls wanted to go for Korean. We played scissor, paper rock in the middle of Hay St to see where we would be dining for the night... Korean won! Boo-yeah! I was on the Korean side! I can't believe it was so high school kiddish to play scissor, paper, rock in the middle of Hay St - but was fun! Imagine 6 girls squealing and laughing and flapping their arms about the place in the middle of a crowded street! But alas, took be gi was extremely full and we couldn't get a spot. So in the end the second rate choice won and off to Hawkers we went. It was a nice dinner - and we ordered this prawn-butter-egg dish for the first time. *DOUBLE THUMBS UP* so so delicious!!! We chatted the night away to some fierce competition. The table next to us were talking like they were at a fish market or something! Gosh - respect.
Then later we went to utopia for bubble tea and talked some more. Much funny things were said. I don't think I've laughed so much for such a long time! Good times were had.
Today, went to Subi for Jus Burgers. It didn't occur to me until someone mentioned that 1 Just Burger could potentially equate to 2 Angus Burgers. Die. My diet plan - fail fail fail!!!
Then went shopping with 3 girls. Had the funniest conversation with them. I can't disclose their names for privacy reasons!
So I was with Girl 1 outside Just Jeans and I asked her if this guy was her type of guy. (He's the current pin-up boy for Just Jeans) - she looked at me in horror, and flaberghasted a "NO!" haha...

Ok... so then I asked her, "What is your type of guy?"
She said, quote, "I like nerdy guys, scholarly-type guys, guys that wear glasses." Then she proceeded to give me some examples. Shocked!!! Who knew this about her! She asked me if the above guy is my type, "Well... not exactly..." He looks much like a dinosaur... according to Lynn's theory about guys either looking like a dinosaur or a rodent! Amen sister! (But he has nice arms) :)
Then I told Girl 2. Girl 2 was like, "What! You didn't know she likes nerdy guys!?" (Well I'm not exactly close to Girl 1.) Who knew? Then I asked Girl 2 what is her type of guy. She said, quote, "I LIKE GUYS WITH BIG VEINS ON THEIR ARMS!!!!" I laughed so hard. This must be the funniest quirk I've ever heard of. A nerdy guy is ok, but a guy with veins popping out of his arms! So funny! She likes to touch them! hahaha still giggling to myself about that when I think about it!
Then they asked me what kind of guy I like, I said, "Chubby normal guys." hahaaahahahahaa.... they laughed at the chubbiness of it! I have to clarify, I don't like chubby guys per-se... but guys with nice arms - well normal arms. I don't know how to describe it.
So we asked Girl 3 what is her type of guy. She likes guys with broad shoulders and a BIG chest so that she can rest her head on his chest. HAHA... so funny la. Then we talked about some guys who don't have such big chests, or shoulders... *tee hee*
laugh laugh laugh. Ok, enough said, and that was my laughs for the weekend!
