First day in the land of monkeys and humidity...
It still feels surreal that I'm back in Malaysia. It's been just over 2 years since I've been back and it never ceases to amaze me how dirty and unorganised Malaysia seems compared to Perth. Theres no logic, no sequence and no rules - especially on the roads. I miss Perth :)
So anyway, I got to the Perth airport, spent an eternity in the queue waiting to check in. The process was simple :) Called Shin Woei to update on the latest goss!!! :P Garry proposed to Adeline - congratulations!!!
On the plane, I was seated in the last row, 41G... I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but at least I was next to the aisle, close to the toilets and close to the emergency exits :) Though, last to leave the plane and last to get my food - I had to have the chicken briyani because that's all that was left! I watched Alvin and the Chipmunks 2... average. Spent the entire trip freezing, even wearing a jumper and using the MAS blanket! Blocked up nose, watched a bit of avatar then tried to sleep...
Was super anxious that I might get lost at KLIA. I never traveled alone internationally before. Jack's advice to me before I left, "You mustn't look lost and innocent, you must look like a BEAST!" Well... phail... because I wore a pink jumper, and generally I look pretty blur if I'm alone, but I kept reminding myself I needed to look beasty so I wouldn't get conned! Anyway, MAS is pretty high tech now, they had a video prior to landing "How to walk through KLIA"...in the end, I didn't get lost! yay!
First meal... had roti goreng and teh tarik... hmmm wasn't much help for my sore throat.
Got back to fuzz's place and showered and downed heaps of meds. Tried to sleep but couldn't sleep until 4am. Blocked nose, cold and hot, mosquitoes drinking my blood from arms, legs and FACE!!! garh!! Nose bleed in the morning.... sien. Whattta time to get sick eh?
Nothing that retail therapy couldn't help :) Went to Sunway Pyramid today. Spent 2 hours trying to find topshop. In the end, there was nothing there nice to buy. Disappointment isn't even a word to describe how I felt! I got new bvlgari's which will be ready on Friday :) and got some stuff from MNG and Forever21. It's seriously a maze out there... and the fashion is completely different to Perth. Gah. Couldn't really find what I wanted.
Tomorrow... 1Utama... yay!!! Can't wait... hopefully there is more stuff to be bought!
My parents are in Malaysia on Tuesday!
Still have not got bridesmaid shoes... STRESS. Also, Fuzz suddenly appointed me as wedding planner with one weeks notice! Wah! The process of Asian weddings is completely different from Western weddings. Western weddings have order, schedules and time-slots.... Fuzz's wedding plan seems to be... "go with the flow..." hmm.... my mind is a scatter at the moment, trying to think how I can put it all together!!!
I'm ready for more shopping tomorrow!!! Going to have Japanese buffet tomorrow. Diet plan phail. Oh well.
